Retro gamers, and "casual" gamers are changing this paradigm to a certain extent, but historically, newer has meant better when it comes to video games. In the gaming world, that sentiment has almost never been true. A car is a machine with a purpose – be it to deliver your kids to school or afford you the best lap time – and machines are better when they're less likely to fail. ![]() In the car world, there is a segment of the population that believes tried and true trumps what's novel or new most of the time.
